20 January - Assignments for this week (updated)

Be prepared to update your stock portfolios from last week.  This means you should have picked out all the information and stocks from the SET and also that you have all the information that was required so we can go ahead and do the update.

STEVE JOBS bio, Chapters 6 and 7 from last week will be discussed in class next Monday.  There will be quiz if it is determined students have not read this material.


Answer the following questions from the 'Coca-Cola' Demand assignment. Please post your answers on your blog.  We will quickly cover in class on Thursday before updating our portfolios for our stock market assignment.

9. Suppose now your income doubles. How would this affect your answers to questions (1) to (5)?

10. What do you would think would happen to the curve if your income doubled?

11. Suppose a survey shows that drinking coke causes young people to sweat more and have a greater chance of getting spots! How would this affect your answers to questions (1) to (5)?

12. What has happened to the curve as a result of this [question #11] survey (i.e., as it moved left or the right)?
